Tony Papp was the son of Joseph Papp, the renowned director of the New York Shakespeare Festival. He developed a fascination for jewelry as a form of wearable art during his time at the Parsons School of Design. His unique creations were exhibited in galleries across New York, Boston, and Philadelphia. In 1986, he established the Tony Papp Gallery in New York City. Besides his work as a jewelry artist, he also taught at several art schools in the New York region. Sadly, Papp died at the young age of 29.
